      Zscaler Data Protection SKUs (DP-1, DP-2, DP-3, DP-4)

      Overview

      Zscaler offers a suite of Data Protection (DP) solutions—DP-1, DP-2, DP-3, and DP-4—designed to address various facets of data security within organizations. Each SKU requires a minimum subscription for 50 users, licensed on a per-user, per-year basis, and allows organizations to upgrade between one to four of the following options (by picking from 1 to 4 of as desired, e.g. if DP-2 is selected then the customer can select two from the list of options below):

      1. Email Data Protection

      • Inline Email Data Protection (Outbound Only): Provides outbound email security for Exchange and Gmail platforms, ensuring that sensitive information is protected during transmission. Inbound email protection is not included.

      • Out-of-Band Email API Monitoring: Offers monitoring capabilities for Exchange and Gmail, allowing organizations to oversee email activities and detect potential data leaks. This feature does not provide inbound email security.

      2. Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP)

      • Data Discovery on Endpoints: Identifies and classifies sensitive data residing on endpoint devices.

      • Control Over Data Transfers: Manages data movements to print services, personal cloud storage, removable storage, and local network shares to prevent unauthorized data dissemination.

      • User Activity Monitoring: Provides dashboards and reports to monitor end-user activities, aiding in the detection of anomalous behavior.

      3. SaaS Security Advanced

      • Out-of-Band CASB for All SaaS Applications: Secures data across various SaaS applications (excluding Exchange and Gmail) by monitoring and controlling data exchanges.

      • Historical Data Scanning: Offers 1 TB of historical data scanning per 1,000 users (up to a maximum of 20 TB), enabling organizations to assess past data exposures.

      • Unlimited Forward Data Scanning: Ensures continuous monitoring of data moving forward to maintain compliance and security.

      • SaaS Security Posture Management: Evaluates and enhances the security configurations of SaaS applications to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

      • SaaS Security for Third-Party Apps: Extends security measures to third-party applications integrated with primary SaaS platforms.

      4. Classification and Encryption Advanced

      • Sensitive File Encryption: Encrypts sensitive files to protect data at rest and in transit.

      • Data Redaction and Watermarking: Redacts sensitive information and applies watermarks to documents to prevent unauthorized use.

      • Data Classification Features: Utilizes Exact Data Matching (EDM), Indexed Document Matching (IDM), and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to accurately identify and classify sensitive data.

      SecureDynamics: Empowering VARs and Their Customers

      • Deployment and Implementation: Through Co-Manage 360 (CM360) services, SecureDynamics offers deployment assistance, ensuring that Zscaler solutions are configured and integrated seamlessly into existing infrastructures.

      • Managed Services: Providing co-managed services that support customers as an extension of the channel partner/VAR, offering 24x7 support to help customers get up and running, troubleshoot issues, and address ongoing needs.

      • Flexible Data Protection for Smaller Organizations: Customers wishing to go below the 50-user minimum should consider the SecureDynamics Managed Service, which can accommodate as few as 20 users while still providing comprehensive data protection capabilities.
