Customers who have completed a Zscaler deployment with SecureDynamics may request additional services for optimization, tuning, or post-deployment support. For these cases, SecureDynamics offers a Time & Materials (T&M) engagement model.


🔧 What Is T&M?

Time & Materials (T&M) engagements are prepaid professional services blocks that can be used to enhance an already deployed Zscaler environment. These are strictly for post-deployment configuration refinement or optimization, not for new design or implementation efforts.


💵 Rates & Structure

Hourly Rate $225 – $275 USD per hour
Minimum Block Size 20 or 40 hours (prepaid only)
Expiration 3–6 months from purchase date
Billing Model Prepaid, no “monthly burn” or time tracking
 

✅ Common Use Cases (Examples)

T&M blocks can be used for:

  • PAC file and tunnel forwarding optimization

  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) cleanup

  • Firewall, URL filtering, and SSL inspection refinements

  • Security posture hardening (ZIA/ZPA)

  • App Connector or Segment strategy updates (ZPA)

  • Admin policy configuration or zero trust review


❌ What’s Not Included

The following cannot be delivered under T&M blocks:

  • Design documentation (e.g., HLD/LLD)

  • Net-new onboarding (e.g., ZDX rollout after ZIA)

  • SIEM, NSS, or log streaming setup

  • Third-party integration work (e.g., MDM, IdP custom work)

  • Licensing evaluations (refer to: Zscaler License Expert GPT)

📌 All of the above require a separate Statement of Work (SOW) after the primary deployment is completed.


📢 T&M Does Not Replace Zscaler Support

SecureDynamics T&M is not a support contract and does not replace Zscaler’s standard support services.

  • All bug fixes, platform outages, and break/fix issues should still go through Zscaler Support

  • T&M is best used when you want help implementing best practices or making strategic adjustments to your environment


 

📋 Engagement Process

  1. SecureDynamics will evaluate the request to determine if it qualifies under T&M

  2. A prepaid quote is issued for 20 or 40 hours

  3. Services are scheduled and delivered directly by SecureDynamics engineers

  4. Progress is tracked against scoped activities; unused hours expire after 3–6 months


🎯 Key Rule

T&M blocks are for optimization of deployed services only.
All net-new work must be scoped via a separate SOW.
